Geist Reservoir is located in Marion, Hamilton and Hancock counties in central Indiana, 12 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
Geist Reservoir is interesting for many reasons. For one, it is Indiana’s largest manmade lake, and second largest body of water, after Lake Wawasee. The Geist area is noteworthy for its wealthy and famous residents. “The Geist area” simply refers to the area around it, including northeast Lawrence Township in Indianapolis, and Fall Creek Township of Hamilton County in the eastern part of the Fishers area.
There are several golf course communities within the township and you are within minutes of Conner Prairie and Klipsch Music Center. You are approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Indianapolis.
